DOUBLE YOU


 

 

En 1992, Double You se convirtió en uno de los grupos más famosos de la década de los 90. El primer single que se hizo popular, y se convirtió en la canción más bailada del año fue “Please Don’t Go”, vendiendo más de 3.000.000 de copias desde su fecha de salida en enero del mismo año.

El segundo single, “We All Need Love” fue grabado en junio durante la gira europea, y entró en rankings de éxitos en todo el mundo.

Al final de 1993 los singles que lo siguieron fueron: "Missing You", "Part Time Lover", "Heart of Glass" and "Run to Me" (ésta última dio al grupo la posibilidad de empezar su primera gira Norte Americana en 1995). Actuaron en ciudades como Miami, Daytona Beach, Orlando y otras ciudades alrededor de la costa este.

En 1994, el single Run To Me sonaba en cada club, desde Europa hasta Sudamérica.

Double You actuó en teatros y salas de conciertos en Brasil, como El Metropolitan en Río de Janeiro y Olympia en São Paulo. En menos de tres meses realizó 64 shows, asistidos por más de 350.000 personas.

En 1995, un nuevo single llamado Dancing with an Angel salió y consecuentemente empezó una larga gira italiana, que llegó a durar 8 meses. La canción fue un éxito en otros países como: Suiza, Israel y diversos países en Sudamérica. Otro single, "Because I'm Loving You", que fue sacado en diferentes versiones fue un gran éxito en España, Italia, Israel (donde llegó al nº19 en los rankings de popularidad), Brasil; y sonando en las radios europeas más populares.

En el 2000, de Double You sale la canción “Music (Is the answer)seguida de un remix del 2001 del anterior hit Please Don’t Go. Un álbum recopilatorio llamado Studio Live salió el mismo año en Brasil.

En el 2002, Double You saca a la venta un single llamado Dance Anymore.

En el 2003, Double You hizo un remake del hit de Bryan Adams llamado (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, y una cover de la canción de With or Without You de U2.

En el 2004, William Naraine contribuyó en el single All My Illusion” de Vanny G.

En el 2005, Double You lanzó Please Don’t Go 2005 con el artista Don Cartel a través de Triple B Records. El single llegó al #40 del ranking Dutch Mega Top 100 y al 38# del ranking Pepsi Chart.

En el 2012, sale un nuevo single llamado Vicenzo Callea vs William NaraineTurn off the lights” EDM Sound, apoyado por Pete Tong, Tiesto, Nicky Romero y David Guetta.

 

In 1992 Double You became one of the most famous groups of the 90s, one of the first singles, which became one of their most famous songs. Please Don’t Go”, sold more than 3 million copies and it became the most danced song of the year.

The second single, "We All Need Love" was recorded in June 1992 during their European tour and charted around the world. After this second single, their debut album We All Need Love followed, which put together songs such as "Who's Fooling Who" and "Why (Let's Make It Christmas)”.

At the end of 1993, the recording of the second album, the Blue Album, started. These singles followed: "Missing You", "Part Time Lover", "Heart of Glass" and "Run to Me" (the song gave the group the possibility of starting their first tour in North America in 1995). They performed in such cities as Miami, Daytona, Orlando and others along the east coast. In 1994, the single Run To Me, was played in every club from Europe to South America.

In 2000, Double You released a track called "Music (Is the Answer)" followed by a 2001 remix of the hit "Please Don't Go". A best of album called Studio Live was released the same year in Brazil. In 2002, Double You released a single entitled "Dance Anymore".

In 2003, Double You did a remake of the Bryan Adams hit "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", and a cover of U2's "With or Without You" (which was not released as a single). The band toured in all the main Brazilian cities.

In March 2004, William Naraine contributed to Vanni G's single "All My Illusion”.

In 2005, Double You released with artist Don Cartel "Please Don't Go 2005" on Triple B Records. The single hit the Dutch Mega Top 100 chart at #40 and the Pepsi Chart at #38.

In 2012, new release is came, Vicenzo Callea vs William Naraine “Turn off the lights” EDM sound, supported by Pete Tong, Tiesto, Nicky Romero, David Guetta.
