En 1989, el músico Enrico Zabler y el DJ Tommy Schleh se conocieron en un club de Londres y decidieron crear un proyecto musical. En 1996, Trixi Delgado dejó la banda por motivos familiares y fue reemplazada por Linda Rocco. En 1997 lanzaron el exitoso tema “La Ola Hand In Hand”, pero la popularidad del grupo comenzó a disminuir. Entre 1998 y 1999, Masterboy permaneció en silencio. Más tarde regresaron con la canción “Porque Te Vas” y algunos sencillos más, aunque no publicaron nuevos álbumes.
