Sus padres se trasladaron a Australia en los 60 y allí en Wollongong (N.S.W.) nació Luis aunque hoy en día todos le conozcamos como Just Luis.
Luis, se considera un australiano de sangre española ya que ama a los dos países por igual.
Aterriza en España a mediados de los ochenta y vive una larga temporada en Algeciras (Cádiz) donde empieza a escribir sus propias canciones con músicos de la zona y empieza la lucha continua para hacer su sueño realidad.
En 1992 decide grabar unos temas en Londres con el productor Andy Whitmore, conocido por sus trabajos con Boy George, Pet Shop Boys, Eternal etc. Aquí consigue una producción impecable que hace destacar aun más su peculiar voz y forma de cantar.
De vuelta a España decide trasladarse a Madrid y aquí por fin el destino llama a su puerta : un productor (P.Vidal) y Disc-jockey (J.Rives) le hacen una prueba y sin mas nace “American Pie” que supuso un enorme éxito en España.
El American Pie se edito en toda Europa y Latino América teniendo gran éxito en Brasil y España. En Inglaterra llego al numero 2 de las listas de clubs. El video clip se realizó en la isla caribeña de Guadalupe bajo la dirección de Fernando García en 1995.
En 1996 graba su segundo single «Heartache» que vuelve ser un gran éxito en toda España y Brasil. Durante este periodo Just Luis realiza una gira por nuestro país donde aprovecha una actuación en el World Dance Music de Tenerife para grabar el video clip de su nuevo single delante de 200,000 personas.
En 1997 sale a la venta «The Number One» su tercer single siguiendo la misma trayectoria de los anteriores.
El ‘98 es el año del cambio para Just Luis, nuevo equipo de producción y nueva discográfica con la que graba su cuarto single «Freebaby».
En el 1999 Just Luis sale con la publicación de su álbum «Universal Love». Un disco impresionante donde mezcla los nuevos ritmos de la música del siglo 21 con las baladas que llegan al corazón. Este disco contiene todos sus éxitos y su nuevo single «Save My Life».
El 2001 nos trae su nuevo single «America» tema que arrasa en todas las pistas de baile y que le lleva por todos los rincones del pais con la gira de Ericsson «generación Wap festival».
Hasta el día de hoy Just Luis es un artista puntero dentro del panorama dance, presente en los mayores festivales del país.
Luis’s Spanish parents moved to Australia in 1960s and he was born in Wollongong, Australia. Today we all know him as Just Luis. He considers himself an Australian with Spanish blood.
He moved to Spain in the mid-eighties and lived in Algeciras (Cádiz) for a long time where he began to write his own songs with musicians in the area. Hence began his continuous struggle to make his dreams come true.
In 1992 he decided to record some songs in London with producer Andy Whitmore, known for his work with Boy George, Pet Shop Boys, Eternal etc. This is where he got an impeccable production that made his peculiar voice and his way of singing stand out even more.
When he came back to Spain he decided to move to Madrid. This is where he got his big break. With producer P.Vidal and Disc-jockey J.Rives he recorded a test demo and that is how the «American Pie» was born. The song was a huge success in Spain.
The American Pie was published throughout Europe and Latin America having great success in Brazil and Spain. In England it reached number 2 in the club lists. The video clip was made on the Caribbean island of Guadalupe under the direction of Fernando García in 1995.
In 1996 he recorded his second single «Heartache» which was once again a great success throughout Spain and Brazil. During this period Just Luis toured Spain where he performed at the World Dance Music of Tenerife and recorded the video clip of his new single in front of 200,000 people.
In 1997 his third single «The Number One» went on sale following the same trajectory of the previous ones.
1998 was the year of change for Just Luis. He started working with a new production team and a new label with which he recorded his fourth single «Freebaby».
In 1999 Just Luis released his album «Universal Love». It was an impressive album that mixed the rhythms of 21st century music with the ballads that touched the heart. This album contained all his hits and his new single «Save My Life».
2001 brought us his new single «America». It swept the dance floors and took him through every corner of the country with the Ericsson tour «Generación Wap Festival».
To this day Just Luis is a leading artist in the dance scene, present in the biggest festivals in Spain.
