Kym Mazelle es una cantante y compositora estadounidense. Ella es considerada como una pionera de la música house en el Reino Unido y por toda Europa. Su música combina estilos como el R&B, soul, funk, house music, disco y pop. Kym Mazelle es reconocida como «La primera mujer en la música house».

En 1988, lanzó el single «Useless (I Don’t Need You Now)», todo un éxito en las discotecas que alcanzó el puesto #53 en las listas de éxitos del Reino Unido. Su siguiente lanzamiento fue, «Wait» un dueto con Robert Howard de The Blow Monkeys en 1989, alcanzó el puesto #7 en el Reino Unido. En 1989, el álbum debut de Mazelle, Crazy fue lanzado en el Reino Unido y presentaron el single «Love Strain». Con el single «Was That All It Was», Mazelle volvió a estar en el Top 40 en el Reino Unido.

En 1990, Mazelle se unió al grupo de música británico Soul II Soul. Su voz principal en el single «Missing You» incluido en su segundo álbum Vol. II: 1990 – A New Decade logró un gran éxito en todo el mundo. También estuvo de gira con el grupo durante todo el año. En 1991, Parlophone Records relanzaron el álbum debut de Mazelle como Brilliant!! con remixes de sus singles, dos nuevas canciones y remixes de «No One Can Love You More Than Me» y «Crazy ‘Bout The Man.»

En el 1995, juntamente con el productor Motiv8, Kym Mazelle saca el temazo «Searching for the Golden Eye» donde nos deleita con su increíble voz. Tema se convertió en un éxito de las pistas dance de Europa.

En 1996, Mazelle lanzó una versión de la canción «Young Hearts Run Free», de la película de Baz Luhrmann,  Romeo + Julieta de William Shakespeare. También apareció en el álbum remix del director, Something for Everybody. La canción fue triple platino en los Estados Unidos. El éxito del single ayudó a Mazelle a actuar en los Top of the Pops.
